Fire Pro Wrestling Newsline, September 21, 2007

Greetings folks & welcome to the second installment of the Fire Pro Wrestling newsline. We have a lot to cover as we head towards our next event on September 29th, as Fire Pro Wrestling presents "End of the Road" with former World Heavyweight Champion "The Total Package" Lex Luger. We're about a week away, so lets get to the news:

*I recently had the privilege of speaking to former Fire Pro Heavyweight Champion, the "Big Jack" John Burke. Burke told me he doesn't believe he will need to have back surgery, but that rest & rehabilitation, while ultimately allowing him to return to the ring, will keep him out of action for indefinite period of time. Speaking as a fan of Fire Pro, I can't wait to see Burke back in action.

*Does current Fire Pro Wrestling Pride Champion, Chase "The Face" Richards suffer from the "John Cena" effect? Too popular for his own good?

*I understand why "The Regulator" Tristin Hayze keeps him happy, but why does Willie "Da Bomb" Richardson stick with him? Richardson, one of the best big men in the business, would be much better off not having to cater to the loudmouth leader of the Lincoln County Regulators.

*I know this is a long shot, but here is a novel concept; lets implement instant replay in Fire Pro.

*The team of Risk Factor, Roach & Jynx, continue to prepare for their upcoming title match against the Fire Pro Wrestling Tag Team Champions, The New Breed, but they will not guarantee a win. No matter how much I badgered them, they would not say anything more than they feel confident in their chances for success on the 29th. Doesn't make for an interesting news story, but you have to like the humble approach they are taking to their title shot. Certainly a night & day difference between the challengers attitudes & the champs mentality.

*It's been suggested in the past that a curse may exist around the Fire Pro Wrestling Heavyweight title. Recent memory might shed some light on that theory considering that Cyanide & the "Big Jack" John Burke, both former champions, suffered major injuries during their title reigns & those injuries ultimately cut their tenure's short.

*Newcomer to Fire Pro Wrestling, The Crusader, is an impressive physical specimen, but little is known about this new powerhouse. He has already developed a very strong following & it appears that his popularity will just continue to grow. I'll attempt to learn more about him in the near future.

*And speaking of the future, I recently paid a visit to the Fire Pro Wrestling training center to view some of the new talent coming through the pipeline, and trust me when I say the future of Fire Pro Wrestling is very bright. If you're interested in joining Fire Pro, opportunities exist for those who want to be a wrestler or a referee. That's gonna do it for this edition of the Fire Pro Wrestling newsline. "The Total Package" Lex Luger will be on hand & in the corner of Risk Factor as they challenge The New Breed for the Fire Pro Wrestling Tag Team Championship. Make your plans to be in attendance on a potentially historic night.
