Fire Pro Wrestling Newsline, October 12, 2007

It's Friday & that must mean it's time for another installment of the Official Fire Pro Wrestling Newsline. We are just about a week away from our next great spectacular & the card is shaping up...wait, no it's not. The card is completely up in the air & this event, October 20th, could be our most exciting event ever as Fire Pro Wrestling presents "Lethal Lottery."

Some of you have asked about the format of the next event, how it will work & exactly who will be selecting competitors. And the only answer I have that makes any sense is...I don't know. I have a good idea, but anything can & probably will happen. Basically here is what I know; There will be a bucket of names for Heroes & a bucket of names for Villains. Before a match is set to begin, I will head to the audience & let random audience members select names from the buckets. Whoever is drawn, I will announce them & they will have to come to the ring right then & there for the match. We don't know who will be selected & the wrestlers competing wont know either. How is that for unpredictable?

We already know some of the matches and/or those competing in a few already sanctioned contests, but we will get to that in a moment. First, it's news time:

*I'm not sure what "Da Juggernaut" Osyris has in mind as far as goals in Fire Pro are concerned, but one thing I do know is he has looked darn near unstoppable. A victory over Machine has to look impressive to the Fire Pro Championship Commission who always strive to sanction & schedule the best championship matches possible. They will take notice, trust me.

*For those of you Fire Pro fans who can't make it to every show, a new development in the ever evolving media expansion of Fire Pro Wrestling is now up & running. You can now see selected matches & moments from Fire Pro Wrestling online via YouTube. That's right, Fire Pro has its own YouTube channel & everyone is welcome to check it out, for free. Just go to http://www.youtube.com/fireprotv and you can see what we are about. We expect to add much more content in the ways of new media in the very near future.

*At our last event "End of the Road" on September 29th, a Fire Pro fan asked me who the Top 10 wrestlers in Fire Pro might be if such a list existed. Well such a list didn't exist...until now. This is by no means an official ranking or a popularity contest. It's entirely my opinion, however if you have suggestions, you can email them to me at firepro.doublej@gmail.com.

1. Cade Lee - Like him or hate him (and most I'd guess are closer to hate), he is the champion, making him the big dog. Time will prove if Lee is all bark though.

2. Chase Richards - He is the longest reigning champion in Fire Pro. How long that lasts will be put to the test on October 20th at "Lethal Lottery" when he defends his title in a Texas Strap match against "The Regulator" Tristin Hayze.

3. Christopher Kent - After deciding to make his own way in Fire Pro, all Kent did was go out & capture the newly created 24/7 Hard Target title by outlasting 5 other competitors. Can Kent prove his win was not just a fluke though?

4. Risk Factor - Yes they are a tag team, but I'm counting them as one because they did it together. Finally able to best the New Breed, Roach & Jynx were able to capture the tag team championship.

5. Steve Szoke - If it weren't for the outside interference of Lynn Marie, "Diehard" would be on top of this list as the Fire Pro champion. But thanks to her involvement, Lee was able to steal a victory & run away with his title. At "Lethal Lottery" Szoke gets another shot & I don't think that will be a wasted opportunity.

6. Tristin Hazye - No one has been as hot as "The Regulator" has been as of late. If Hayze can best Richards in their upcoming Texas Strap match, he will surely rise in the rankings. But that challenge will be a big if.

7. Osyris - Watching "Da Juggernaut" in the ring only proves what I already knew. I'm so thankful I'm just an announcer!

8. Carl Morris - Ok, so the "Mustache Model" came up short in his bid to retain Fire Pro gold at our last live event, but that doesn't mean he still isn't immensely popular. I just don't get it.

9. Machine - Sure a loss to Osyris might look bad on paper. But think about it like this, Machine didn't get destroyed by Osyris, he just got beaten. Put those two in the ring together again & the outcome might be different. That's a match I'd love to see though.

10. Gilbert Lewis - Maybe the most under-rated Fire Pro competitor. Sure his appearance may lead some to speculate that he has no reason being in the ring at all. But you know what those nerds say, don't judge a book by it's cover.

*You don't have to wait until a Fire Pro show to get great Fire Pro Wrestling merchandise. If you want to get the best merchandise around, ranging from t-shirts in all shapes & sizes (including children's sizes) to DVD's of our events, and avoid the long lines at the live events email fireprodiehard@hotmail.com as soon as possible. It's the best way to place an order. This will ensure the item you want isn't sold out come live event day!

*If you've ever wanted to get into wrestling, the time is now. Opportunities exist for those interested in joining Fire Pro Wrestling. Want to be a wrestler or a referee? Here is your chance, contact us at fireprodiehard@hotmail.com if you'd like more info or to get your wrestling career started.

Remember we are just about a week away from our next great live event, "Lethal Lottery" on October 20th. Already scheduled to take place:

Chase "the Face" Richards will defend his Fire Pro Pride Championship against "The Regulator" Tristin Hayze in a strap match.

Cade Lee puts his title on the line once more against "Diehard" Steve Szoke. But there are some special stipulation for this match. If Lee wins, Szoke must bow down on his hands & knees and kiss Lee's boots. If Szoke wins, then Lee must lie on his back & allow any kid who desires to get their picture taken to put their foot on his chest & raise the Fire Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Title over their head. To ensure that either scenario takes place, both Lee & Szoke have signed contracts stating if they do not fulfill these stipulations, they will be suspended from Fire Pro Wrestling for 6 months.

Risk Factor (Roach & Jynx) have to defend their tag team titles against two mystery opponents who will be selected via "Lethal Lottery" random drawing rules.

Christopher Kent has to defend his 24/7 Hard Target Championship against not one, but three other random competitors.

Devon Fury & former partner Kenny Courageous will be on opposite corners of the ring as they will each captain a team in a 6-Man tag match. Both Fury & Courageous will have each of their other two team mates selected at random.

Wrestlers already signed on board for the Lethal Lottery are Hayden Kent, Hoss, "The Associate" Dave Allen, "Hot Bod" Shawn Davis, Fuzion & making his return to wrestling, "Superstar" Chris Styles!

Make your plans to join us next Saturday, October 20th as Fire Pro Wrestling presents "Lethal Lottery" at the Fire Pro Arena, located on the Impact Christian Church Campus, 401 W. 82nd Place, Merrillville, Indiana. Tickets are just $10 for adults & $6 for children. Doors open at 6 P.M. with bell time at 7 P.M.
