Fire Pro Wrestling Newsline, October 5, 2007

Greetings folks & welcome to the October 5th, 2007 edition of the Official Fire Pro Wrestling Newsline. Not to dwell on the past, but the recent "End of the Road" spectacular was a tremendous success & proves that Fire Pro Wrestling is indeed stronger than ever.

But those who live in the past are doomed to repeat it & we are already excitedly looking ahead to our next event on as Fire Pro Wrestling presents "Lethal Lottery" on October 20th. More on our upcoming event in a moment, but before we get too far ahead our ourselves let's get to the news:

*First a bit of bad news; Fire Pro Wrestling has ceased its working relationship with both Willie "Da Bomb" Richardson & Trauma. We wish them well with all their future endeavors.

*With his successful title defense at "End of the Road" on Sept. 29th, Fire Pro Wrestling Pride Champion Chase "The Face" Richards is now the longest reigning title holder in the company.

*And speaking of Fire Pro championships, congratulations goes out to Christopher Kent, who survived the Gauntlet match at "End of the Road" to capture the newly instituted King of Targets championship. Watch your back Chris, the King of Targets title can be challenged for 24/7 & is now open to all Fire Pro competitors.

*Along with Kent, the team of Risk Factor, Roach & Jynx, were finally able to overcome the New Breed to capture the tag team titles. It's been a long time coming for these two young, talented wrestlers. But I don't think there is a more deserving or hard-working duo on the roster. A well-deserved victory. Congrats to them as well.

*Good news for those of you interested in purchasing Fire Pro Wrestling merchandise. Recently we were able to replenish our supplies & we now have children sizes in stock of various t-shirts, along with adult sizes. DVD's of our events are available now as well. For more information, to place an order or to request merchandise, email fireprodiehard@hotmail.com as soon as possible.

*If you've ever wanted to get into wrestling, the time is now. Opportunities exist for those interested in joining Fire Pro Wrestling. Want to be a wrestler or a referee? Here is your chance, contact us at fireprodiehard@hotmail.com if you'd like more info or to get your wrestling career started.

*And finally, a personal note about our special "End of the Road" guest, "The Total Package" Lex Luger. A lot gets said & written about people, especially with the prevalence of the Internet these days. People can judge & criticize from afar, and that's certainly well within their rights. However, until you have the chance to meet & talk to someone directly, I'd suggest to everyone you tread with caution. Luger's recent history has been well documented in numerous places & I certainly had some reservations prior to my initial meeting with him this past February at an event. But in meeting him again, being able to sit down & talk, really talk, not just idle chit chat, you truly appreciate just how generous the man is with his time. We had a capacity crowd for Luger & he signed autographs & took pictures for over an hour, non-stop, without complaint. Not all that uncommon you might be thinking given that Luger is a legend in this business. But, Luger signed everything fans brought for him; old magazines, photos, posters, t-shirts, programs, etc. And he only charged for Polaroids he took & personalized. If you took a picture with your own camera, he did so for free. He could've easily made triple what he made with his Polaroids had he charged for every item he signed. But Luger never even considered it & signed everything and until every single fan was satisfied. Now, I challenge you to tell me what true icon in this industry would do the same? A separate Luger blog is forthcoming.

As I mentioned before, Fire Pro Wrestling returns to action on October 20th with our next great live event, "Lethal Lottery." We already have two matches signed with those being:

-Fire Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion Cade Lee defending his title against "Diehard" Steve Szoke. There will be a special stipulation attached to this match however. If Lee wins the match, Szoke has to get on his hands & knees and kiss the Champion's boots. If Szoke wins, then Lee will have to get on the ground and let anyone who wants to take a picture with the Fire Pro Heavyweight title do so...while standing on him.

-Fire Pro Wrestling Pride Champion, Chase "The Face" Richards puts his title on the line against his hated rival, "The Regulator" Tristin Hayze in a Texas Strap Match.

The other matches on the card will be drawn via random lottery. Anyone, at any time, could be selected to compete. They wont know when or who they will be facing. And even more challenging, the fans will be selecting the names at random. Who knows what combinations or matches will be brought together in this very unique, but no doubt exciting night.

Fire Pro Wrestling presents "Lethal Lottery" on October 20th at the Fire Pro Arena, located on the Impact Christian Church Campus, 401 W. 82nd Place, Merrillville, Indiana. Tickets are just $10 for adults & $6 for children. Doors open at 6 P.M. with bell time at 7 P.M.
