Fire Pro Wrestling Newsline, November 16, 2007

Greetings folks & welcome to the Official Fire Pro Wrestling Newsline for November 16th, 2007. The countdown to "Ground Zero" is almost complete & we are a shade over 24 hours 'til Fire Pro Wrestling returns to action with our next great live event at the Fire Pro Arena. As has become customary before live events, the Newsline is dedicated to previewing the upcoming event & giving you my predictions. Of course, my predictions have been less than stellar the last few months, but as they say, that's why you play the game. So with that, let's get to the "Ground Zero" card for tomorrow night:

*"The Professor of Old School" Cade Lee will defend his Fire Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Title against the man who earned a shot at that title by winning the Battle Royal at "Lethal Lottery" on October 20th, "The Aerial Assassin" Roach. I wouldn't go so far as to say Lee is an unlikely champion since he certainly earned the gold; but it does seem like Lee is barely getting by in his title defenses. How long can he hold on to his beloved championship by the skin of his teeth? He takes on a man in Roach who is already a Fire Pro title holder (he is one half of the Fire Pro Wrestling Tag Team Champions, Risk Factor), so Roach certainly knows how to get the job done in title matches. It's not quite David vs. Goliath, but Roach will have to over-come the Champ's obvious size & power advantages.

I hate to say it, but I see Lee hanging on to his title yet again, which will set up Lee vs. "Diehard" Steve Szoke in December.

*The Fire Pro Wrestling Pride title will be on line when Chase "The Face" Richards defends his championship against the debuting "Big Texan" Mark Houston. Not much is known about Houston as he gets set to make his Fire Pro debut. But what is known is that he faces the longest reigning champion in Fire Pro Wrestling. A man who has beaten Szoke, Osyris, Tristin Hayze, Prince Mustafa Ali & countless others during his impressive title run.

In the end, Richards will walk away from "Ground Zero" with his Fire Pro Wrestling Pride title still securely around his waist.

*The New New Breed, "Phoning It In" Kenny Courageous & "Sexy" Shawn Cook, will make their tag team debut in Fire Pro as they take on Team Omega, "Diehard" Steve Szoke & "Youngblood" Hayden Kent. Courageous, Szoke & Kent all have ample tag team experience within the Fire Pro squared circle and Szoke & Courageous are both former tag team champions. Szoke has added motivation because Courageous took the gold from the Red, White & Blue Wrecking Crew when he was teaming with former partner Devon Fury in the original New Breed.

Having said that, this match could go either way really, but I see Team Omega taking this one, with the deciding factor being Team Omega's experience teaming together.

*Groucho Marks, Gilbert Lewis & "The Moustache Model" Carl Morris will do battle with another new tag team in Fire Pro Wrestling, The Rejects, "The Fallen Superstar" Chris Styles & "The Lost Soul" Ash Sanchez. Both Styles & Sanchez made their Fire Pro debuts at "Lethal Lottery" last month and both men looked very impressive. Now they join forces, as they have done in the past, in Fire Pro & they could become major players in the tag team division. Lewis & Morris have teamed together recently, already becoming one of the most popular duos in all of Fire Pro.

Whichever team wins this contest, it will go a long way to setting them up for a tag title shot in the not too distant future. I know Lewis & Morris have experience teaming in Fire Pro & this next statement will contradict what I've previously said, but I see The Rejects getting the victory. And let me be the first to say it; The Rejects will be Fire Pro tag champions before the end of 2008.

"Ground Zero" will take place tomorrow, November 17th, 2007 at the Fire Pro Wrestling Arena, which is located on the Impact Christian Church Campus. The address is 401 W. 82nd Place in Merrillville, Indiana. Tickets are only $10 for adults & $6 for kids.

We are also asking that you bring a canned good or other non-perishable item to the show. We will be donating those items to a food drive for the Chicago-land Christian Service Center. If you can bring anything to donate, it would be greatly appreciated especially as we head into the upcoming holiday season. Whatever your affiliation may be, I think we can all agree that helping those in need once the weather goes cold & the holidays hit us is a worthy cause. So thank you in advance.

That will do it for the Official Fire Pro Wrestling Newsline for November 16th, 2007. Next week, I'll recap "Ground Zero" with full results. I'll also be updating the Fire Pro rankings & we'll start preparing for the year in review.

Don't forget that at "Ground Zero" we will be making two major announcements that could shake Fire Pro to its very core. Making your plans to join us tomorrow night for all the best wrestling action you could hope for. Hope to see you there.

See you ringside,
Double J
