Fire Pro Wrestling Newsline, November 2, 2007
Greetings folks & welcome to the Official Fire Pro Wrestling Newsline for November 2nd, 2007. Some of you have asked how much news could possibly happen in a week in which there are no Fire Pro live events. Well, to that I say…a lot. As the Fire Pro Wrestling brand continues to grow, we are expanding our live event schedule & we took our show on the road to the Deer Creek Christian Church & School in Crete, IL this past Friday, October 26th. And a lot of information came from this special event. Here are the quick results from that night:
The Fire Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion "The Professor of Old School" Cade Lee defeated The Crusader. After the match, Lee tried to add insult to injury by continuing to attack The Crusader until Devon Fury ran out to chase Lee away. Fury challenged Lee for later that night & Lee accepted, reluctantly.
The Uprising, Luis Rojas & "Warfare" Jeremy Hadley, defeated the Groucho Marks, Gilbert Lewis & "The Moustache Model" Carl Morris, with the help of brass knuckles.
The Fire Pro Wrestling Pride Champion Chase "The Face" Richards defeated Prince Mustafa Ali.
In a special 6-man Scramble Match, Roach defeated Angus McDuff, Fuzion, "Warfare" Jeremy Hadley, Luis Rojas & Nikko.
The Fire Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion Cade Lee defeated Devon Fury.
Christopher Kent, Hayden Kent & "Diehard" Steve Szoke defeated "Phoning It In" Kenny Courageous, Hoss & the 24/7 Hard Target Champion "The Associate" Dave Allen.
After the 6-man tag team match, Christopher Kent pinned Dave Allen to re-capture the 24/7 Hard Target title.
With that, now lets get to the news:
*The team of The Uprising is undefeated in Fire Pro Wrestling & if that continues, they have to be in line for a shot at the tag team champions, Risk Factor. In the meantime, they have looked very impressive as a duo.
* With great apologies, as it has taken me longer than anticipated, the new venture I've been mentioning in previous newslines is finally set to launch. We very pleased to announce the introduction of the Official Fire Pro Wrestling Podcast. The podcast will be a new avenue to deliver all the news & even more in-depth coverage of Fire Pro. There will be news updates, interviews & will be available to download to your iPod or other MP3 players in a few weeks. Look for the debut podcast next week. You can check out the page on myspace at http://www.myspace.com/theofficialfireprowrestlingpodcast
*If you have yet to check it out, I highly recommend checking out the Fire Pro Wrestling channel on YouTube. This new media venture is an exciting development that will continue to expand the Fire Pro brand. If you have any requests or suggestions about what you might like to see on Fire Pro TV, email me at firepro.doublej@gmail.com. And you can check it out at http://www.youtube.com/fireprotv
*You don't have to wait until a Fire Pro show to get great Fire Pro Wrestling merchandise. If you want to get the best merchandise around, ranging from t-shirts in all shapes & sizes (including children's sizes) to DVD's of our events, and avoid the long lines at the live events email fireprodiehard@hotmail.com as soon as possible. It's the best way to place an order. This will ensure the item you want isn't sold out come live event day!
*If you've ever wanted to get into wrestling, the time is now. Opportunities exist for those interested in joining Fire Pro Wrestling. Want to be a wrestler or a referee? Here is your chance, contact us at fireprodiehard@hotmail.com if you'd like more info or to get your wrestling career started.
Now that we have had some recent action, lets update the rankings. Previous rankings are in parenthesis:
1. Cade Lee (1) – Able to best The Crusader & outlast Devon Fury. Can he hang onto the title come November 17th when he defends the championship against Roach?
2. Chase Richards (2) – With his newly shaved head a fresh reminder of the previous attack by Tristin Hayze, Richards defeated Prince Mustafa Ali & remains the longest reigning champion in Fire Pro.
3. Risk Factor (3) – Inactive, but wont punish them for that…yet.
4. Christopher Kent (7) – Re-claimed the 24/7 Hard Target title by pinning Dave Allen, but can Kent hold on to the title longer this go-round?
5. Steve Szoke (4) – Along with the Kent Boys, was victorious in the 6-man tag match. He also has a guaranteed title shot in December.
6. Tristin Hazye (5) – If reports of a broken ankle turn out to be true, Hayze could find himself on the outside looking in if he remains inactive for too long. Time will tell.
7. Osyris (6) – Another inactive competitor, but the big man has certainly put everyone on notice with his last few outings.
7. The Uprising (NR) – Rojas & Hadley are undefeated in Fire Pro & are rapidly climbing the tag team ladder.
8. Fuzion (NR) – Making his rankings debut, the masked one has looked very impressive since making his Fire Pro debut & it can only be a matter of time before he catches up with & gets revenge on "Hot Bod" Shawn Davis.
9. Hayden Kent (NR) – The "other Kent boy" has been on a roll since joining forces with Szoke & seems to have found his calling in the tag team realm.
10. Gilbert Lewis (9) – Lewis is in desperate need of a victory or his time on this list is coming to a close.
We are just about two weeks away from "Ground Zero" on November 17th at the Fire Pro Arena on the Impact Christian Church Campus & we already know some of the action set to take place. Already signed:
-"The Professor of Old School" Cade Lee defends his Fire Pro Wrestling Heavyweight title against "The Aerial Assassin" Roach. Roach won a Battle Royal at "Lethal Lottery" on October 20th to earn this title shot. Can Roach add to his collection of gold & put the Fire Pro Championship on his mantle next to his Fire Pro Tag Team title he currently holds?
-Chase "the Face" Richards will put his Pride title on the line against "The Big Texan" Mark Houston, who will be making his Fire Pro debut. Will Richards long reign continue or will Houston rope himself a piece of gold?
-The "New" New Breed Kenny Courageous & "Sexy" Shawn Cook make their debut as a team in a tough challenge against Team Omega, "Diehard" Steve Szoke & "Youngblood" Hayden Kent. All men involved in this contest are experienced tag team competitors & a victory by either side will mean a lot in the eyes of the Competition Commission.
Fire Pro Wrestling presents "Ground Zero" at the Fire Pro Arena, located on the Impact Christian Church Campus, 401 W. 82nd Place, Merrillville, Indiana. Tickets are just $10 for adults & $6 for children. Doors open at 6 P.M. with bell time at 7 P.M.
We will also be making two major announcements this show.
In addition, Fire Pro is asking everyone to bring canned goods (or other non-perishable items) to the next show as Fire Pro is partnering with Impact Christian Church in doing a food drive for the Chicagoland Christian Service Center. The Center not only provides a food pantry, but offers clothing for those in need and provides anti-gang alternatives for children in the area. Fire Pro Wrestling will also be donating all the money made from concessions to help purchase perishable food for the Center. We hope you can help us make a difference as we head into the holiday season.
There are only two more live events left for 2007, so we hope you can join us before we welcome 2008. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to email me directly at firepro.doublej@gmail.com.
See you ringside,
Double J
