Fire Pro Wrestling Newsline, November 9, 2007
Greetings folks & welcome to the Official Fire Pro Wrestling Newsline for November 9th, 2007. We are a little over a week away from "Ground Zero" & this could very well be one of the best Fire Pro Wrestling live events ever. I'll have more on the card for "Ground Zero," which will take place on November 17th, 2007 at the Fire Pro Wrestling Arena, later in the Newsline. But for now, lets get to the news:
*I received an e-mail a few days ago from the Fire Pro 24/7 Hard Target Champion, Christopher Kent that stated " Double J, I want you to put in the Newsline that if anyone wants a shot at my title, they know where to find me. This title means more to me than anyone can imagine & I'll do everything to keep it." The by-laws for the 24/7 Hard Target title do say that anyone can challenge for the title anywhere & at any time. Kent concluded by saying "The last time this title was taken from me was a total fluke. That will never happen again. I dare anyone to try." It might be brass & it certainly screams confidence, but if anyone can make that bold statement stick, it's Christopher Kent.
*Fuzion is another Fire Pro competitor that e-mailed me this past week. He said, "Double J, you got it right in the last Newsline. When I finally get my hands on Shawn Davis, he's gonna find himself in a world of hurt." I had mentioned previously that Fuzion & Davis have unresolved business & these two will run into one another sooner rather than later. However, it seems to me that Davis might be ducking Fuzion.
*New additions to FirePro TV on YouTube include the 4-way tag team match from "Trial By Fire" on September 29th, 2007. Outside of attending a live event or buying a DVD from previous live events, FirePro TV is your best chance to see what Fire Pro can offer. If you haven't done so yet, make it a point to check us out on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/fireprotv.
*I've received some e-mails from people curious as to what the upcoming major announcements that will be made at "Ground Zero" will be. Well, I can't reveal anything about them just yet & certainly not in this forum. But to be perfectly honest, I have only heard rumors & hearsay as to what they will be. So I don't even have any info to relay to you at this time. But when I know what they are, you'll know. Chances are, I won't know until moments before I make my way to the ring to make the aforementioned announcements. However, I can tell you that I've been promised that the announcements will be very substantial.
*The first episode of the Official Fire Pro Wrestling Podcast, which will be available on myspace at http://www.myspace.com/theofficialfireprowrestlingpodcast as well as on iTunes, has encountered some technical difficulties that will be sorted out in the next few days. When it is up & running, I'll certainly let you know. Thanks for being patient with this as sometimes technology can cause problems as well as solve them.
*You don't have to wait until a Fire Pro show to get great Fire Pro Wrestling merchandise. "Ground Zero" will take place on November 17th, 2007 at the Fire Pro Wrestling Arena, which is located on the Impact Christian Church Campus. The address is 401 W. 82nd Place in Merrillville, Indiana. Tickets are only $10 for adults & $6 for kids. Some of the matches already signed:
"The Professor of Old School" Cade Lee will defend his Fire Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Title against the man who earned a shot at that title by winning the Battle Royal at "Lethal Lottery" on October 20th, "The Aerial Assassin" Roach.
The New New Breed, "Phoning It In" Kenny Courageous & "Sexy" Shawn Cook, will see their first tag team action in Fire Pro as they take on Team Omega, "Diehard" Steve Szoke & "Youngblood" Hayden Kent.
The Fire Pro Wrestling Pride title will be on line when Chase "The Face" Richards defends his championship against the debuting "Big Texan" Mark Houston.
We are also asking that you bring a canned good or other non-perishable items to the show. We will be donating those items to a food drive for the Chicagoland Christian Service Center. If you can bring anything to donate, it would be greatly appreciated especially as we head into the upcoming holiday season. Whatever your affiliation may be, I think we can all agree that helping those in need once the weather goes cold & the holidays hit us is a worthy cause. So thank you in advance.
